Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is frequently encountered problems in obstetric practice and PROM is effecting perinatal outcomes. Premature rupture of membranes is associated with 20% to 30% of all preterm births. The prognosis is related primarily to gestational age at presentation and delivery. Appropriate treatment must be applied after patients were evaluated carefully, especially about gestational age and presence of infection. Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) is a major cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality and the most difficult problem for obstetricians. This reason, diagnosis, treatment and management of PPROM is very important. Diagnosis, treatment and management of PPROM is often discussed, but stil no consensus. In this review, we aimed to discuss how to approach with the support of current literature to problems we faced on PROM management.
