Antimicrobic Resistance of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Strains

Aim: In the study where antibiotic resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) strains were aimed to be investigated. Material and method: In the study 130 P.aeruginosa strains isolated from various samples as materials were utilized. Result: Isolated strains were mainly provided from the intensive care unit (60%), the pediatry department (16.2%), and the otorhinolaryngology department (10%). As a result of the sensitivity tests performed for P. aeruginosa strains, the most resistance was provided with gentamicin (75.4%), tobramycin (64.6%), and imipenem(50%). Conclusion: Consequently, it was determined in our study that antimicrobial resistance of P. Aeruginosa strains be decreased, except gentamicin compared to previous years.
