Özeti Bu çalışma 1994, 1 Aralik Diinya AIDS giinii aktiviteleri icerisinde Konyddaki 2 ciraklik Egitim Merkeri'nde egitim goren ogre/IC*1ln AIDS ko-nusundaki ve bu konuda egitim ya-pat-irk-Ian sonraki diizeylerindeki f.c.irkliligt sap-tamak (intact ile yapilan kesitsel ripe ve tantmlayzet bir caliph1(hr. j;rubrinti 11'1 roplam 414 ogrenci oluyturdu. Ogrencilerin y(4 ortalamast 16.2 dir. 331 ogrenci (% 92) Ilkokidu„ 33 ogrenci ise (% 8) or-taokulu Ogrencilerin 3'ii evli 1'i dul olup digerleri bekardir. Egitimden 10 gun sonra ayni calker formu tekrar uygulandi. Sonuclar 2 e_4 arasindcrki farkin onemlilik testi ( t testi) ile de-dikeylerinin saptanmast icin bit kompozit indeks gelistlrildli. Konzpozit indeks de-gar 37 oncesi btlgi pitanlart 0-27 arasinda de-gi,pnekte olup ortalama 11,0 ids. Egitim sonrast bilgi fornilarz imam 0-34 arasinda degipnekte °hip or-talcum.' 16,7 idi. diizeylerindeki fcrrklllilti egitim oncesine gore % 18,1 lik bir amp_ gostermekteydi. T testi ilc degerlendirildiginde bu a•tu 0,01 diizeyinde cok carticarttll bulundu (1= 14.43). AIDS dogru bilgilendirme ire korunulabilecek bir hastalikur. Bit arayormada gibi u:man kiyilerc&v&ilett bir saatlik egitimle bile bilgi dlizeyinde %. 13 lik bir saptannuytir. This is a descriptive and corss sectional type of study which was performed among the activities of "World AIDS Day" on 1 st November in 1994 in the two schools of apperentic-eship in KONYA The aim of the study was to determine the difference of know-ledge levels of the students before and aft e4: edu-cation about AIDS. In the study group the total number of the stu-dents were 414 and 11 of them were girls. The stu-dents mean age 1.'as 16.2, 38 (92 %) of the students were graduated from primary school, 33 (8 %) of them were graduated from secondary school. 3 of the students were married, one of them was widowed and the others were unmarried. Their income was 70.000 weekly. The knowledge level of.the 474 students about AIDS was determined by using a questionnaire form about this subject. An education progranune was per- brined by the instructors of microbiology de-partment after the using of questionnaire form. 10 days after the education programme the same qu-estionnaire forms were used again. The results were determined by t. test. A special composite index was developed to determine the know-lad,ge levels. The composite index was 37. The knowledge points before education was bet-ween 0 and 27, the mean was 11.0 After education there was an increase of 18.1 % point. TVlien eva-luated hi t test this increase was si,,f;inficant at the 0.01 level. AIDS is an illiess which-can be prevented by edu-cation. Education of one hour by instructions had been supplied an increase o f.18r in the knowledge level. We think that it will be usefull of AIDS is reached among the education programmes.
