Menengokok enfeksiyonları bazen menengokolcsemi ve menenjit yaparak, önemli derecede mortalie ve morbiditeye yol açmaktadır. Son yıllarda dünyanın birçok yerinde olduğu gibi, bölgemizde de, menengokok hastalığı olan hasta sayısında, önemli artış görülmektedir. Bu araştırmada S.Ü. Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesine yatırılarak tedavi edilen 63 hasta değerlendirilmiştir.
