Cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS) is characterized by recurrent episodes of nausea and vomiting. Age at onset of symptoms ranges between 4–6 years and there is a female predominance. CVS attacks are generally associated with psychosocial or physical triggers. In last years a shared pathophysiology between migraine and CVS has suggested. Children with CVS and their mothers have elevated rates of anxiety disorders. In this report, we presented a 5-year-old girl who referred to our out-patient clinic because of recurrent vomiting episodes. Because of her anxiety symptoms and vomiting attacks, escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, was initiated and she had significant improvement during treatment.
