This study was performed on 44 material whi•h consist of 8 radavers and 36 dry mandibles. The eni-ranee point of inferior alveolar nerve into man-dibular foramen was searched and it was found that the entrance point of inferior alveolar nerve is si-tuated at the junction of the front lower angle of mandibular lingula and ınadibular foramen. To determine the position of entrance point of in-ferior alveolar nerve into the mandibular foramen on the inside surface of mandibular ramus, me-asurements were made between the different points of mandibula. Mandibular foramen is generally lo-cated on the middle of inside surface of mandibular ramus between the standard basal plane of mandible and mandibular noir,: and on the partial 213 line that extends down from coronoid process to the angle of mandible. On this study, despite the fact that the man-dihular foramen was genarally found to be below the <>ulusal sur fare of the lower molar teeth, in some cases it was found ta be at the same level or higher level of molar teeih. It has been roncluded that certain variations most be taken Info consideration to rernove un-successful inteıferences on anaesthetics of illerior alveolar nerve.
