Acrocentric chromosome associations obtained from the cord blood of 10 healthy newborns in the presence of Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) at various times were examined and the values were compared with the values in cells without BrdU. As a result, significant differences were seen between Satellite Association with and without BrdU added. When classified according to the association types observed in some cells in the presence of BrdU, it was observed that neither BrdU nor the association type had an effect on the frequency of satellite association. In the presence of BrdU, no evidence could be obtained that the chromatids behave in an unintentional way in the parent cells and in the acrocentric chromosomes in association.
