\n Colloid cysts are rare benign tumors of the third ventricle and have a wide range of clinical representations from incidentomas to acute death. The growth of these cysts is an uncommon event and may cause obstructive hydrocephalus that lead to sudden deterioration in the patient's condition and may cause life-threatening complications. The large colloid cyst of third ventricle caused sudden death of children due to clogging, diagnosed in vivo is a very rare case in literature. We are representing here a case which patient admitted to emergency room for sudden loss of consciousness. Even he had urgent ventriculostomy due to acute hydrocephalus development, brain death has occured because of 3rd ventricle colloid cyst.
