Anesthetic Management of a Patient with Multiple Sclerosis

Aim: Multiple sclerosis (MS), is characterized by demyelination of different parts of brain and spinal cord and episodic neurologic symptoms. In this case report we aimed to present a patient, and highlighting anesthetic management for these patients. Case Report: A 42 year old man who had neurogenic bladder with primer progressive multiple sclerosis undergoing bladder stone operation is discussed. Conclusion: Stress such as surgery or general anesthesia may be associated with an exacerbation of the disease. We thought that to carry out desflurane and remifentanil combination used safely in anesthetic management for MS.
