Carrying of HBsAg and the Effect o Levarnisole on HBsAg Carriers

We have investigağed the incid.ence of chronic carrying of HBsAg in patients with hepatitis and the effect of levamisole in these patients. HEsAg pozitivity in 18 of 175 patients continued for 3 years. 12 of these 18 patients were giyen levamisole as 2.5 mgikg three days in a week for two moriths. At the end of this period HBsAg was disappeared in 8 of ther/L There was no change in 6 control cases who were giyen placebo at the end of the sarne period.
