For today: because of its cardiovascular sta-bility. high dose opioid anesthesia has become a po-pular method for cardiac surgery. This method also has some drawbacs such as perioperative awa-reness. respiratory depression. nutscular rigitidy and convulsions. We witnessed a convulsion during induction with high dose alfentanil. We concluded that the posibility of convulsions nuist be bared in mind during high close opioid anesthesia.
