Acute appendicitis is a serious surgical emergency, in all age groups. Although mortality has been reduced in recent years, morbidity remains a problem. It is doup«ui whether individuals can take any action to avoid appendicitis. In this study, we searched the range of the age of 210 patients who were operated because of acute appendicitis in the Faculty of Medicine, Selçuk University from May 1987 to May 1991 and discussed the causes of acute appendicitis under the light of literature dala.
