The efficacy and tolerability of sulbactam / cefoperazone was evaluated in adult patients with complicated urinary infections due to an underlying anatomical or functional urinary system pathology. Randomly selected 35 patients received 1 g of 1M / 1V sulbactam / cefoperazone every 10 days and 12 hours. Patients were evaluated clinically, and urine cultures were obtained on the 4th day of treatment and 10 and 30 days after cessation of treatment. Curative treatment was provided in 79% of the patients. Our results showed that sulbactam / cefoperazone is an effective and tolerable antibiotic in the treatment of complicated urinary infections in adult patients.
