268 cases on which laparoscopic cho-lecystectomy was treated in General Surgical De-partment at the University of Selcuk, Faculty of Me-dical Science between 1994 th January-1995 th June were taken into consideration. 236 patients have de-veloped gallbladder stone which moves along with bilecholic, 32 patients have developed acute cho-lecystitis and 4 patients, because of having de-veloped splenic abcess, splenic eccinococcous cyst, simple cyst at left lobes of the liver, simple cyst at right over were taken into operation. Despite the successful application of la-paroscopic cholecystectomy at 252 patients, 16 pa-tient had necessarly been take into laparotomy. Mortality rate is nil. The operation approximately takes 50 minutes and patients are kept at our hos-pital for nearl 2 days and the patient's recoveries takes a week. Serious complications was observed at 6 patients. We come to the conclusion that the reason for the complications peeing high is that this kind of surgical attempts are very recently applied in our clinic.
