Needle Biopsy of The Thyroid Gland

We performed cutting needle biopsy with Vim Silverman needle to 32 patients with cold thyroid nodules in Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Uludağ. All patients underwent operation and the resulis of biopsies were compared with the histopailıological diagnosis of the operation material. in iwo of 32 patienıs, sufficient material tikusv not available with cuning needle biopsy and histopathological diagnosis of 30 patients were compambie with biopsies. as in previous _r_e32)2z1,,-swccQuitıble and avpids patients 1 rom unnecessary ihyroidectomies.
