Optic Atrophy In A Patient With Parkinson’S Disease

\n Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that leads to a selective loss of dopaminergic neurons in the basal ganglia of the brain. The main characteristics of the disease are tremor, bradykinesia and rigidity. There are also several non-motor manifestations of PD, one of which is visual system involvement. There is a decrease in retinal nerve fiber layer thickness in PD. In our study, we described bilateral optic atrophy along with a decrease in macular and retinal nerve fiber layer thickness in a patient with PD.
