Osteoid osteorna in the talar bones may be diffucult to diagnose. Delay in identification of such hindfoot lesion frequently may been seen. We report kere a rare case of osteoid osteoma of the os calcis who is 12 years old boy with hindfoot pain, initially though to be artritis of the talar jaints. X-ray showed a fokal area of sclerosis. The diagnosis of osteoid osteoma was made with only computerized tomography and Tc-99 bone scanning. Surgically, the lesion was resected and now the patient is painless.
