Reaction Related To Suture Material After Septorhinoplasty

Suture material in surgery to place septorhinoplasty graft and cartilage often are used to shape the nasal tip. Foreign body reaction to suture material is visible. In cartilage graft processes and suture techniques, polypropylene is frequently used suture material in septorhinoplasty. One of the most important feature of suture material is that it should not cause reaction in tissue. severity of the inflammatory reaction is not only related to personal factors but also type of suture material. Polypropylene suture material related to the reactions were shown rare. In this study, reaction developing a case based on polypropylene suture material was presented and subjects were discussed in the light of literature information.
