Pneumomediastinum can develop spontaneously or in the setting of trauma. Spontaneous pneumomediastinum (SPM) is a rare condition and treatment of these patients is generally limited to observation. We discovered SPM in 15-year- old male patient, who had been wrestling, admitted to our emergency service with chest pain and shortness of breath. In this case report we discussed that in a patient without trauma, medical intervention for developing pneumomediastinum, the increased vagal maneuver may lead to SPM.
