Several antibiotics have been reported to have disulfiram-like effects_ In this study we evaluated disulfiram for its antibiotic-like effects. For this pur-pose, we studied several Staph. aureus strains in dis-ulfiram containing discs. Interestingly, we observed that 30 (75 %) of Staph. aureus strains in this study were sensitive to the antibiotic-like effect of disulfiram in vitro.
