One of the complications of gastric peptic ulcer is, malignant transformaiion. in this study, we have investigated the relation between peptic ulcer and gastric carcinorna that develops in chronic :gastric ulcer. Fifteen surgically resected stornachs, with ulcer were studied. Seven of those ulcers were peptic ulcer, five were carcinorna, but there were lesions like uncer-carcinoma. Those lesions had malignant cells in the sinan area at the base or margin of the ulcer. The ulcer-carcinotnas showed that carcinorna !might develop in the chronic gastric ulcer.
