Between 1988-1994, 407 foreign bodies were extracted from 401 patients at the bronchoscopy at the Department of Cardia-Thoracic Surgery of the University Hospital. 266 foreign bodies were ext-racted from right, and 114 from left bronchial tree, 27 from trachea. All foreign bodies were removed with forceps. In three cases, removal of the foreign body was carried out with thoracotomy, three cases foreign body was carried spontaneus treatment.
