Between 1976 - 1985, 64 patients were admitted ta our ciinic as an emergency with peripheral yein injuries. 57 of these patients were male and 7 female. Hospitalisation period was 2 - 18 hrs. Ali patients received surgical treatment with satisfactory results. The emphasis is made on the thought that yein injuries should be considered as important as the arterial emergencies.
