BACTERIA IDENTIFICATION AND ANTIBIOTIC SENSITIVITY RESULTS IN 300 CHRONIC SURFACE OTITIS MEDIA PATIENTS

Culture and antibiogram of samples, taken from the ear discharges, were applied on 300 Chronic Suppurative Oti-tis Media cases in Konya region. Staphylococcus Epidermidis % 24,8, Staphylococcus Aureus % 23,1 Pseudomonas % 14,1, Proteus % 10,6 and Corynebacterium % 10,1 were identified. The most effective antibiotics with relation to the idendified bacteria were Oflaxacin, Tobramycin and Cefapera-zone and the most aneffective ones were Ampicillin and Tet-racycline. These results were discussed with rehation to the literatüre.
