Bone Sarcomas Arising in Paget's Disease

The most serious complication of Paget's disease is the sarcomataus degeneration. Two cases of bone sarcoma in Paget's disease were diagnosed and treated at the University Hospital, departrnent of orthopaedy and Traumatology between 1983 and 1988. Histologically, lesions were osteogenic sarcoma and it is radiographically found ta be osteolitic. Pain, pathologic fracture and tender swelling were constant features. Femur and humerus were the affected bones. Overall prognosis for !hese patients were poor.
