Cecal volvulus is an uncommon cause of intestinal obstruciion. It accounts for 1 percent of all intestinal obstruction and 3 percent of all colonic obsiructions. Although the operative managernent is the accepted form of treatrnent, in recent years there is some non.surgical treatment lechnics in lit-erature.
