Same cases in mother and children group are more vulnarable to body constitution, social and economical conditions. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was estabhs. hed in Konya Maternity and Children Ileahh Center in 1987. The aim of the research was if there was any correlation between rnother age, educational level and famiiy income and among mother and newborn health. If the mother age was 35 and plus, urınary infection, anernia and other pregnancy complication were increased (p<0.01). Pregnancy interval was langer alsa for age of 35 and plus (p<0.05). Educational level of rnothers was reversely correlated with the number of pregnancy (p<0.01). Pregnancy and labor numbers was effected by mother educational level. Family income was not effect on newborn weight, number of pregnancy and abortions (p>0.05).
