Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy patients and healthy subjects were compared by measuring somatosensory evoked potentials. On Study, 30 patients with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy and 30 healthy subjects were included. Right and left median N19,P25 amplitude and latency rating as well as the right and left tibial P37,N45 amplitude and latency were analyzed. The results were not significant (p> 0.05). The findings didn’t support earlier a small number of studies on this topic that have been made in patients with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. As a conclusion more research is needed on this topic.
