Concha bullosa: fienquency in chronic nonallergic sinusitis and effectiviness of endoscopic surgery on prognosis

Concha bullosa is a common anatomical variant of intranasal anatomy. Eighty-six patients who had paranasal sinüs infection were evaluated with CT for lateral nasal wall variations. İt was found that 22 % of the patients had concha bullosa at least on one side. İt was seen that paranasal sinüs infections developed vvithout concha bul losa and on the other hand, 15 patient that operated endoscopic surgery was shovvn that this prosedüre is useful for the treatment of sinusitis in cases with concha bullosa.
