It is known that metizerjid inhibits 5-HT contractions and is also a partial agonist in studies conducted on many tissues. In the present study, the contractions caused by 5-HT (Serotonin) were inhibited by 10-11 and 10-10 M. mianserin and similarly by 10-8 and 10-6 M. metizerjitis in a dose-dependent and non-competitive manner. In addition, the maximum contraction response generated by metizerjid applied in cumulative concentration was also significantly reduced by mianserin. In the studies performed, the intrinsic activity of metizerjid was 0.3 0.04. As a result, in isolated calf coronary artery, it has been shown that metizerjid is a partial agonist, its effect is probably through 5-HT receptors and mianserin is effective in this tissue even in very small doses.
