Effects of Diphenylhydantoine On Peripheral Nerves-Clinical and Electrophysiological Study

By using clinical and electrophysiological data, this study was carried out to detect the rate of peripheral neuropathy caused by diphenylhydantoine in 31 epileptic patients.It was seen that subclinical polineuropathy at least, might occured in the patients who had been taking the drug for a short period, such as 2 years time. Pathogenesis of polineuropathy was discussed in the light of the relevant literature.
