54 patients admitted to neurological unit were examined for neurosphilis. VDRL (Venereal Disease Reseacrh Laboratory) and TPHA (Treponema Pal-lidum Hemagglutination Assay) were tested from serum and cerebrospinal fluid in all patients. Ce-rebrospinal fluid cell count and protein content were normal in all patients. VDRL and TPHA in the serum and ('SF were negative in all patients.
