Evaluation of Occupational Injuries in Sugar Factories of Konya District (Konya-Erekli-llgin)

In this study, we examined the occupational in-juries which had happened at years of 1990 and 1991 in sugar factories of Konya district (Konya-Ereg li-llgin). We investigated 230 workers who were subjected to an occupational injury and 230 workers who were not subjected to any occupational injuries from their registration cards. We in-terviewed with 87 workers who were available among these subjected ones. There were some dif-feren•ies between these 87 workers' registration card informations and their answers about the cause of occupational injuries. However, it is concluded that the greatest part of occupational injuries could he prevented by taking simple preventive measures.
