Desmoid tumors are rare benign tumors with local aggressive
clinical course but without the risk of metastasis. Etiopathogenesis
of desmoid tumors is not known clearly. They can develop after
trauma. Desmoid tumors are mostly located on abdominal wall and
very rarely on suprapubic region. There is not a standard treatment
approach for desmoid tumors. Firstly a wide surgical excision should
be performed. As local recurrence rates are high patients should be
followed up closely after surgery. Here in, a case with giant desmoid
tumor located on suprapubic region treated successfully with a
reconstructive surgery and followed up without a recurrence was
reported.
