HDL bound vitamin E levels in patients with chronic renal failure

Serum vitamin E, IIDL cholesterol and IIDL bound vitamin E levels were inverstigated in 20 patients with chronic renal failure and 24 healty subjects. Vitamin E, 11DL cholesterol and IIDL bound vitamin E levels of controls were fou.nd as 1.1063 ± 0.0079 mg/dl, 48 ± 4.81 mg/dl and 0.1095 ± 0.0094 mg/dl while those of patients were 1.0881 ± 0.0437 mg/dl, 26.55 ± 6.21 mg1d1 and 0.2657 .± 0.1209 mg/dl, respectively. IIDL-bound vitamin E levels of patients were higher (p<0.001) and 1113L cholesterol levels were lower (p<0.001) than those of controls.
