In the course of infectious diseases in children, hematopoiesis and coagulation systems may be effected as a result of several pathological mechanisms. Some hematological problems may occur especially in infection term or in post infection term as a complication. Selection of an appropriate approach to hematological problems as well as infection treatment may be useful to reduce mortality and morbidity related to infectious diseases in children. In this review, hematologic manifestations of infectious diseases in children were evaluated in detail.
