OGTT and IVGTT were applied to 18 patients with hypophosphatemic rickets aged between 6 months and 13 years to investigate the effect of hypophosphatemia on carbohydrate metabolism. OGTT curve was abnormal in 16.6% of cases with hypophosphatemic rickets, all patients with normophosphatemic rickets had normal OGTT. In the study, in terms of showing the effect of indirect insulin, the Kt value, which shows the rate of disappearance of glaucous, was calculated by applying IVGTT. In a hypophosphatemic case, the Kt value was below 1%, indicating carbohydrate intolerance. As a result; It has been shown that carbohydrate metabolism is mildly impaired in patients with hypophatemic rickets.
