Idiopathic retroperitoneal hematoma is a rare condition, affecting apparently histopathological normal retroperitoneal blood vessels. In cases of idiopathic retroperitoneal hematoma no definite cause can be identified. We report on a patient idiopathic retroperitoneal hematoma presenting as acute abdomen.
