Twenty newborn bables from healthy mothers were examined for Sister Chromatid Exchane (SCE) rates. Among the twenty newborns ten were male and the remaining were females. Sister chromatid exchange rate was 7.03 for female infants where this rate was 7.20 for male infants. However these differ'ences were statistically insignificant (p > 0.05). These findings were compared and discussed with these ratios that were found previc, usly for different age and sex groups of older ages.
