Intermittan Peritoneal Dialysis in Renal Insufficiency

Thirty four patients with renal insufficiency have been treated with intermittan peritoneal dialysis at the Department of Urology and Intermnal Medicine Clinics of Selcuk University. Plastic dibposabk nelaton catheter, simple dialysis catheter and Tenckhoff catheter are inserted into the abdomen for peritoneal dialysis. These were two peritonitis treated with antibiotics and one subcutaneous hematomas formation. Peritoneal dialysis was considered benefical both preparing the patients for urologic operation pre-poperatively and supporting the kidney postoperatively in the treatment of renal failure.
