Intestinal Obstructions Due to Bezoars

In this study, six patients with acute intestinal obstructions due to phytobezoars is presented, All of patients had previous gastric surgery for ulcer disease and had a history of persimrnon or orange ingestion. Whole patients were treated surgically. Five patients were applied close decompreiion and one patient was applied opera decompretion (enterotomy) A patient was reoperated twice because of relapse and intussusception. Consequently, patients who have undergone gastric surgery for ulcer disease should be warned about not tü eat persimmon or orange with their fibers.
