Certain fluids are toxıc to the lower respiratory tract when they aspirated, and can initiate an inf-laınatory reaction which is independent of bacterial infection. Examples include acids, bile, mineral oils., annimaldts, alchool and hydrocarbons. in tiıis article, we presem two cases of pneumonia caused by ingestion of kerosene, a hydrocarbon distillates. We describe clinical and radiologicfeatures of the disese.
