The diagnosis of a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is often made on a prenatal ultrasound examination at routine obstetric care. After birth, the spectrum of respiratory symptoms in an infant with a CDH is determined by the degree of pulmonary hypoplasia. The most affected infants develop respiratory distress within the first 24 hours of life. However, some of the infants with this defect present later, depending to the severity of the defect. Defects are more common on the left side, and it has been reported that patients with right-sided defects have a worse prognosis than those with leftsided defects. Here, we reported a case of a newborn infant with respiratory distress developed on the second weeks of life, and which diagnosed with right-sided diaphragmatic hernia containing part of the right lobe of the liver, bowel and the kidney.
