Left to Right Shanting after Percutaneous Mit-ral Bakan Valvulopkısty (PMBV) Prevekınce and the Outcome

Left to right shunting immediately after and 6 months later the procedure was investigated in 22 patients who had undergone PMBV in Koşuyolu Heart and Research Hospital catheterization la-boratory. Oxymetric method was used for the de-tertion of shunting. Na left to rigt shunting was de-tected before PMBV. lmmediately after PMBV it was detected left to right shunting in eight cases (36.36%). The ratio of mam pulmonary w systemic (QpiQs)flow was Six mounths later cont-rol catheterization was peıformed and it was found that teli' ta right shunting in only 3 cases with a lower QpiQs ratio. It was concluded that PMBV can induce left to right shunting in a subtantial propardon of patients but üs cliııical importance is negligible.
