Tonsillectomy (with or without adenoidectomy) continious to be a commonly peıformed operation in the practice of otorhinolaryngology. Although the incidance of postonsillectomy haemorrhage has been decreased it is serious problem for surgeons. Bizmut Subgallate is an effective agent in pre-venting hemorrhage after adenotonsillectomy. It is shortened the clotting time of whole blood an activation of coagulation in assays of the partial thromboplastin time. The action of Bizmut Subgallate was localized to an effect on Ilageman Factor. In this report; control of bleding using topical Bismut Subgalltıte in the operation of 39 patients was discussed.
