Mast Cell Number in the Pregnant-Postpartum Rat Uterus

In this study, the mast cell number in pregnant and perinatal rat uterus was investigated. Conse-quently, on the 18 th. day of pregnancy, clearly a greater number of mast cells are counted when com-pared to the 5 th. day of pregnancy and the number of mast cells is stili great on the postnatal first day. It is concluded that, these cells may be associated with physiology of pregnancy-parturition-postpartum period.
