Multiple Sclerosis And Cognitive Impairment

The aim of this review is call attention to cognitive impairments in Multiple sclerosis which is seen frequently but not ignored sufficiently because of dominancy of the other symptoms. Cognitive impairements in multiple sclerosis can be seen in all type and period of disease especially in progressive forms. 40-65% of patients are affected, deformation typically occurs in memory, attention, and informationprocessing functions. It is the main cause of disability in multiple sclerosis. Etiopathogenesis is not clear yet and treatment is not so effective. Cognitive impairement in patients with multiple sclerosis is a frequent problem that affects life quality. Studies on this subject which are concetrated at the recent years ,are hopeful for future illuminating ethiopathogenesis and developing suitable treatement .
