Neurofilament proteins are a class of intermediate filaments specialized for the neuronal cystoskeleton. In vertebrae, sodium dode sulphate (SDS) is the hcteropolymer compound of three subunits with a melocular weight of approximately 70-150-200 kilotons in polyacrylamide gel (1,2,3,4).
