Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass: Initial Experiences

The first CABG surgery cases were performed on the beating heart, because extracorporeal circulation and cross clamping the aorta provided optimal surgical comfort this approach has gained wide acceptance worldwide. However in high risk patients, this technique carries inherent risk that may results in limiting indications for surgery. This Study reports our initial clinical experience on off-pump coronary bypass surgery especially in patients with porcelain aorta or poor ventricular function.
