Orgamıphosphorus insecticides are widely used agents which are quickly absorbed through the skin and mucous membranes. The effects of acute expo-sure to these agenıs can be .severe and imensive the-rapy mav be required. Specific drugs are available to reverse the muscarinic. nicotinic and central effects of !hese poisons. when giyen early they are very ef-fective and early diagnosis and treatment may there-fore be life saving. Iıı Iliis study seven cases of acute poisoning with an organophosphorus insecticide are reported. The sings and semptoms of acute poisoning are described anda rational approach to treatment is discussed.
